Attention – Passport Requirements (for August 2008)
U.S. Citizens: Citizens or permanent residents of the United States do not require a passport to enter Canada but will require a passport, Nexus card or other applicable ID to return to the United States. Kiosks for Nexus card holders are available at the Ottawa, Toronto and Montreal airports. Citizens from countries other than the United States: If you are from a country other than the U.S. and are not a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident, you will need a valid passport or a travel document. Citizens of some countries may also need visas to enter Canada. A list of countries whose citizens require visas to enter Canada is provided on the Canada Citizenship and Immigration website at http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/index.asp.
