2008 Annual Meeting, Montana Chapter AFS

"Warming to the Future: Preparing for the Potential Effects of Climate Change on Montana's Aquatic Resources"

We are pleased to announce that the 41^st annual meeting of the Montana Chapter of the American Fisheries Society will be held 12-15 February 2008 at the Billings Crowne Plaza Hotel.  A plenary session will open the meeting and feature presentations regarding the science and policy of climate change and its effects on aquatic resources. 

Following the plenary session, the meeting will include the usual outstanding technical sessions, contributed papers, trade show, and social events.  Meeting format will follow the normal pattern: Executive Committee meeting on Monday (Feb 11), a Continuing Education Session on Tuesday (February 12), and the general meeting beginning Wednesday morning (February 13) with the plenary session and continuing through Friday at noon (February 15).  

The program committee is now accepting abstracts for the contributed papers and poster portions of the meeting.  The deadline for submitting abstracts is January 15, 2008. 

This is the major gathering of the year for fisheries professionals of all affiliations across the state.  It’s a great opportunity to network, exchange information and explore issues.  Hope you all can attend!
