The Alaska Chapter is the local organization in Alaska for the American Fisheries Society. The Alaska Chapter of the AFS is not an employer.   • 10/6/2006 Masters Assistantship Opportunity (Summer or Fall 2007): Are you a resident of Alaska and interested in undertaking a Masters Program at the University of Washington’s School of Aquatic and Fishery Sciences?  This position will support cooperative research efforts in Fisheries Acoustics by the Alaska Department of Fish and Game and the University of Washington.  Full tuition and monthly stipend at UW rates for up to three years are included. To be considered for a 2007 Summer or Fall quarter start, applications to the University of Washington School of Aquatic and Fishery Sciences must be submitted by December 15, 2006.
