Students will be the future leaders of the FHS, so it is strongly encouraged that students get involved with the section. The "Student Information" web site is intended to be a place where both students and professionals can be informed of student participation within the section, student opportunities, and this site will also feature student members of the FHS. If you have any ideas, suggestions, or comments please contact either the Student Involvement Committee. Why Become a Student Member of the FHS? Joining the FHS as as student member is easy and inexpensive. You must be a student member of the AFS ($19 per year) and then sign up for the discounted student FHS membership of only $7. There are numerous benefits of being a student member of the FHS. These include access to the Fish Health Newsletter and frequent fish health updates via the Fish Health Update List-serve. Student members of the FHS are also eligible for reduced registration fees at FHS meetings, discounts on AFS books, and travel award money (Snieszko Student Travel Award). The most important benefit is the opportunity to meet and interact with other fish health professionals. More information for students can be found on the AFS student website.
