Technical Standards Committee
Technical Standards is the elected committee responsible for maintenance of the FHS Blue Book. They identify topics for new chapters, recruit authors, review materials, and maintain the digital master of the document. They also serve on the appointed Ad-Hoc Fish Inspection Committee that oversees production of the joint USFWS/FHS Diagnostic Handbook, a formal section of the Blue Book. Their biggest challenges in 2006-2007 are the conversion of the Blue Book to an on-line document, revision of the Inspection section, and increasing the number of shellfish diagnostic chapters.
