About the AFS Genetics Section
The Genetics Section of the American
Fisheries Society strives to:
- Provide a better understanding of the
role of genetics aquatic sciences, fisheries management, and aquaculture
- Encourage protection of genetic resources
of aquatic species
- Promote the accumulation, synthesis, and
exchange of genetic information concerning aquatic organisms and their
management
