| As budgets continue to decrease and responsibilities and issues become
larger the old philosophy of “I” and “me” are becoming less effective
and limiting. Leadership is the enlisting of others to make a
difference, and current resource management calls for more and more
interaction and collaboration to accomplish common goals. This
collaboration may involve dealing with other agencies, private
industry, or the general public and having the right tool set to deal
with these sometimes stressful situations can mean the difference
between progress or failure. Dr. Janet Ayres from Purdue
University will be providing us with these tools at the 2010 AFS
Continuing Education on October 20, 2010 from 1-3 pm at the Muscatatuck
National Wildlife Refuge near Seymour.
