        Teaming With Wildlife (TWW) is a national campaign to help prevent species of wildlife from becoming endangered and to help nuture new wildlife by giving funding to state-level nongame wildlife conservation and related recreational and educational programs.  Over 3,000 businesses and organizations support and officially endorse Teaming With Wildlife.

No Child Left Inside Logo

    The No Child Left Inside Coalition is composed of environmental, educational, and public health organizations dedicated to insuring a comprehensive education for all.

Thank you for supporting our 2007 priorities by appropriating:
  • $4 million to the Indiana Heritage Trust, the state's only dedicated land acquisition program for conservation.
  • $2 million in additional funding for Clean Water Indiana.
Major strides in 2008:

Passage of the Great Lakes Water Resources Compact (SB 45)
  • Passed through Indiana General Assembly and signed by Gov. Daniels 2/20/08.
  • This bill will prevent diversions of water from the Great Lakes Basin 
  • The agreement with all 8 Great Lakes States, plus Ontario and Quebec, will set up water use monitoring and decision-making processes for future uses.

Renewable Energy Standard (HB 1102)
  • Heard on 1/14/08 by the House Committee on Commerce, Energy and Utilities
  • Authored by: Representative Crooks
  • Co-Authored by: Representatives Ulmer and Dvorak 
  • This bill will: diversify our energy supply, thereby increasing our energy security; improve air quality; and generate thousands of jobs across Indiana.
  • It requires 10% of Indiana's electricity to come from renewable sources by 2018.

Apprentice Hunting License (HB 1046)
  • Passed by the House 1/24/08
  • Passed by the Senate 02/21/08

  • Allows youth to hunt under the mentorship of a licensed adult.
  • Provides an avenue for a "trial run" for those who want to try hunting first, prior to completing a hunter education course
  • Increases Indiana's share of federal matching dollars.
